Description | Square amulet box with two loops on both the left and right edge. Inner picture depicts Hanuman. It may depict a scene from the Bagavata Gita - Hanuman fighting Rava for Princess Sita. Hanuman appears to be running, one hand holds a spear and the other a shield (?) to block arrows (?). Amulets like these are known by many names including madaliya and patri. This type is common all over India. |
