Description | 2 sections of inscribed heavy, coarse, flat-bottomed dish from 2 opposite sides of vessel, each preserving a handle. Very broad, flat bottom, very low wall, handles each a solid, roughly rectangular lug. Lip slightly bevelled, slope down toward outside. Thick reddish brown clay apparently with straw temper which shows on surfaces; brownigh surfacing. Thumb nail scoring on floor. Inscription in Greek impressed in clay on bevel of rim while clay was wet. |
