Description

Woven bamboo (ไม้ไผ่บ้าน) fish trap that is narrow at the mouth and gradually widens towards the base. There is a string tied to the mouth as a handle. Also has a piece of stick tied to the top. The bottom has a hole in the center. It is not flat but has raised sides. Fish trap for Plaa Siw (ปลาซิว), a type of fish, baited with bran or roasted sticky rice to catch shrimp. Staked in August and September in smallish streams.
