Description
Cylindrical pyxis; constricted neck to accomodate a lid; two lug handles. Fine, pink (7.5 YR 7/4) clay, wiht decoration in red (2.5 YR 5/8) paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Band on neck; six bands of paint flecks on body. Restored from fragments; some sherds missing. For the shape see Hawes et al. 1908: pl. 7, no. 13 (Gournia).
