Large basket with an inverted bottom. Undecorated except for a band of "raven's cradle board" pattern below the rim made using skip stitch weaving. The patina and size of the weave make this a very old basket. One section of the rim is broken and repaired with hide strips. Previously folded.
Technical notes: twined, close twined, in between weave up sides. 10 warps and 9 wefts per square inch. 12 rows raven's cradle board design at top edge.
