Description

Huipil in three pieces with no randa. Neck cut out and hemmed. Central piece is red with very narrow white and yellow stripes. The sides are white with lengthwise and crosswise stripes of red forming blocks.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp central panel: 38 epi, two singles, Z twist, red yellow and white cotton. Weft central panel: 20 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp side panels: 40 epi, two singles, Z twist, red and white cotton. Weft side panels: 22 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red and white cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Three panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom."
