Description | Female head, facing left. Body pear-shaped, continuous in profile from disk to top of lip. Lip trumpet shaped. Strap handle attached near bottom of lip and on lower shoulder. Reserved: underside of foot and body from lower wall to bottom of lip. Woman wears kerchief around hair which escapes behind. Kerchief decorated with incised lines and white bands. Features of face in incision. She wears a necklace of large beads. Beneath handle on back is a large black palmette. A red band at bottom of reserved area. Intact except that lip has been broken off and glued back on. Forgery (?) |
