Description | Extensively mended and plastered, handle entirely resotored. Low beveled dsic base. Body ovoid to handle, flattened slightly at shoulder. Crowned by fairly wine neck which broadens into wide flaring slightly spouted rim. Vestigal rotelle on rim each side of handle. Flat band handle, rim to shoulder. Dec.; on lower body, very faint incised double zig zags. On upper body just below shoulder, wide band of lightly incised vertical lines between double wheel run grooves. On shoulder, horizontal rouletted dotted dans. Ridge at base of neck. Fine fabric. Good lustrous black bucchero. |
