Description | One of a pair of dance leggings. Rectangular shape with a central panel made from black wool surrounded on three sides by animal hide fringe. The central panel has three horizontal strips of hide fringe with white quills wrapped around the upper ends of the fringe. Between the fringe, strips of dark blue and white cloth are attached and cut in a toothed pattern. Along the hide perimeter, pairs of metal thimbles are attached. Six thimbles are on one side, eight on the other, and three along the bottom. Some thimbles may be missing. Two hide straps are attached to either side to tie the legging to the wearer's leg. |
