Description

One of five whole (A-E) and five fragmentary (F-J) water jars. Coarse brown ware burnt black on outside with vegetable varnish. Pitch in interior. Globular body with a flat or concave base and a short neck. Incised band of chevrons on shoulder. Four have palm leaf stoppers (8735K - 8735N). Hand-made by women.
