Description | Seeds (coix lachryma) strung together to form necklaces. 3x5 index card in Frank Speck's handwriting accompanied object reads: "Coix Lachryma seeds strung on neck of child to stop crying and to cut teeth on. Big Cove Cherokee". Condition: Original string broken at many points, restrung on monofilament 4/91. To Registrar's for freezing 3/91. |
