Description | Woodblock print. Illustration said to come from an 1879 edition of the "Studio of the Mustard Seed Garden" a manual for artists, first printed in 1679. However it is most likely from the Rounds Fans section of an 1879 edition of the "Ten Bamboo Studio Manual of Calligraphy and Painting (Shizhuzhai shuhua pu)" first printed circa 1633 by Hu Zhengyan (1582 - 1672). Large chrysanthemum on a rock, in a circle. 4 color. |
