Description | Round. Outside: palm leaves laid so that their ridges form the radii of the circle and folded so that all meet at the top centre. Held in place by 5 bands of red and blue threads woven only at the points of intersection; red, blue and green braid edging. Inside: tan, coarse, basket weave; at edge,reed wrapped with red thread. Fitted basket weave headband; outside this, 2 reeds, one wrapped with yeloow and one with red thread; 2 loops of reed wrapped with orange thread, for attaching neck cord. |
