Yellow color. Top layer only out of possible five (Kaeppler). Women’s skirt (pa’u). Acquired by the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) by Titian R. Peale. “Dress [garment] of ‘tapa.’ Female attire.” on Peale list. Ka Hana Kapa #386.
