Description | Red cotton of two panels sewn together. Red cotton ground with white stripes. Animal brocading in cotton and silk thread. Old style. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 42 epi, three singles, Z twist, red and white cotton. Weft: 22 ppi, three singles, Z twist, red and white cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Two panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
