Description

Solid cast. Dark green patina with some encrustation. Intact.Standing, fully draped figure of a male charioteer. The feet are pointed out, as if the figure were bracing himself. The arms are bent at the elbow and held forward; each hand is holed. The drapery falls in vertical folds; the upper part of the garment, which has a V-neck, ends at the hips. The hair is bound by a fillet. The features are not clear but there may be a hint of a short beard. Long, pointed tenon underneath the feet.
