CBS Register: cast. terracotta figurine, from Nippur, two musicians. Woman playing the drum, man the double flute
PBS XVI: Two girl musicians. One plays the double flute, the other holds a drum or a mystical ciste, a sacred basket to carry ritual objects commonly used in Greek mysteries and funerals. The girls are dressed about the lower limbs and wear necklaces and bracelets and a turban about their curls. Moulded. Cast of an original in Constantinople.
