Description | Sommerville: Sardonyx. Germanicus, newphew of Tiberius, and his wife Agrippina. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case R. Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (Unmounted). Jugate busts of a man and woman facing to left. Sommerville identifies them as Germanicus and Agrippian, but they resemble coin portraits of Marc Antony and Octavia. Probably 18th century. |
