Description | Wine jug. Dark reddish brown pottery. Cf. 51-4-102, bronze wine jug. Disc base, globular body; high neck contracting slightly to mouth which is extended on one side to form an open spout; wide strap handle on opposite side. Six petalled lotus in collar on upper body is the only decoration.The lid, which follows the shape of the mouth except that it does not quite reach the end of the spout, is pierced, as is the handle, and a connecting cord inserted. |
