Description | Sommerville: Sardonyx. Marcus Agrippa, general under Augustus and grand admiral. Gold Rings - Cameos, Case RRR. Vermeule: Mottled agate. Cameo. (Modern gold ring (reset) Mount) Male head to left. The features are based on a Julio Claudian coin portrait, probably Agrippa (died 12 B.C. the son-in-law of Augustus). Later 18th or more likely 19th century. |
