Anthropologists in the Making is a summer camp for children ages 7-13. It provides a wide variety of fun, creative learning activities for kids in galleries and classrooms.
Junior Anthropologists in the Making Summer Camp
The Junior Anthropologists in the Making camp program invites curious young minds to explore the Penn Museum through structured, hands-on activities. Junior Anthropologists in the Making is designed for children aged 6 who will be entering 1st grade for the 2019-2020 school year.
Designed for families with children ages 3 to 6, Playdates feature illustrated stories told in Museum galleries, hands-on reproduction artifacts, and make-and-take art activities—plus a snack!

40 Winks Sleepover
Discover the Penn Museum in a unique way with a flashlight expedition through the galleries and exclusive access to special exhibitions. At bedtime, roll out your sleeping bag and fall asleep in galleries filled with objects and artifacts from around the world.
Cartifact facilitators answer questions and provide opportunities to handle touchable reproductions of artifacts from Ancient Egypt and Rome in this hands-on experience for visitors of all ages.
