University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
Student Events at the Penn Museum

The Penn Museum presents a series of regular events for Penn undergraduate and graduate students who like to learn by doing, laughing, and conversation. Also look out for special events on the calendar below.

Making Workshops

DO: These hands-on workshops let you step into the past by studying ancient objects from the museum’s international world-renowned collections and then crafting and using modern replicas of your own. Penn faculty experts and local artisans lead these engaging sessions and answer your questions throughout the evening.

Movie Nights

Laugh: Join us for a series of the best/worst movies about archaeology and history with faculty and graduate student experts who will set the record straight with rib-tickling running commentary.

Curator Tours

Talk: Drop in on select Friday afternoons for a curator-led gallery tour. After the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to chat with the curator over tea & cookies. Each month will be a different gallery & curator.
