Description | Depressed body; bulging neck with everted lip; wide mouth; two opposite knobs on neck. Plain. Cooking pot (olla) with a globular body, bulging collar, outward sloping rim, no handles, and a rounded base. The vessel has two protrusions opposite each other on the collar. There appears to be a scraped finish on the exterior and a smoothed finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. Evidence of usewear includes residues/staining on the exterior. There is black and red staining on the exterior.
