Description

Skirt of split banana leaves, dyed with artificial dyes. Four short tiers at top, alternating dyed, plain, dyed, plain. Top layers predominantly yellow, hot pink, and red. Six sets of full length colored streamers. Used in the sagali ritual. Collected at the completion of a sagali (in this case marking the end of mourning) in Omarakana village, October 8, 1988
