Description | Checker weave. Twined weft in center where weaving started. Weft on either side of it wider than rest but not as broad as strips woven along edges as border. (Frayed off of one warp edge) Next to it band of four black strips alternating with plain. 2 strips alternat-ing with plain either side of center "border". Four lengthwise equidistant bands of 7 black warps alternating with 6 plain. Four crosswise bands in each half of mat consisting of 12 to 14 black wefts. Plaid effect where bands cross. |
