Description | A pottery vessel in the shape of an owl standing upright. The rounded body narrows toward the top and is propped up on two legs. The exterior is painted all over with black dots and the face has a black band painted across the eyes and beak, which is broken off. Short, flat, wings are formed on either side of the owl and a tail sticks out from the lower back end. The feet are shaped roughly into three toes or talons and then painted red. The opening at the top has two ears sticking up above the rim, one of which is broken, and the entire rim is painted black. |
