Description | Tulip-shaped body, swollen neck; with a face on neck and arms in low relief on body. Plain. Face-neck wide-mouthed vessel with an ovate body, tapered collar, rounded rim, no handles, and a flat base. The vessel has a modeled face and arms on the neck and body. There are remnants of a painted or a slipped surface. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is red and orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "665." |
