Description | For construction cf. Frizzi, Baessler-Archiv, Sup. VI (1914), Fig. 60, upper row, second arrow from left; and see also p. 39, and the arrows 29-89-142, etc. (Nasioi). The tip is whipped with yellow plant cuticle; behind the barbs the point is covered with a woven tube of plant cuticle in natural yellow colour and red dye between two bands of yellow and red wrapping. The upper group of bone barbs comprises 6 pairs, the lower only one. For the pattern of the woven tube cf. Frizzi, Fig. 64, 5th spear from the right. Shaft markings: Internode 6: Between two longitudinal strokes, two series of oblique lines each line forming an angle with one in the other series, the space between every two of these oblique lines being filled with short longitudinal strokes (except that between the lowest two). |
