Description | One Huipil Panel or half huipil. Cream cotton ground brocaded in red, yellow and green cotton and purple silk in vertical zigzags and horizontal V's. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 32 epi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Warp is predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
