Description | Women's trousers (deko). Traditional woman's garment, always worn with a blouse (kebabu) (see 83-43-5). Made of coarse cotton (kafa galia) bought in Sila and dyed with local indigo, with some predyed synthetic thread (nggoli), also bought in Sila. Hand sewn. Made in 1982, Kambentu hamlet. Very wide (roughly triangular shape). Black, with narrow blue stripes and five broader bright blue stripes. |
