Description | Flat bottomed aryballos. Low ring foot, rounded body steep sided; very constricted neck; disk lip; strap handle. Tongue pattern around shoulder. Three wheel-painted glaze bands around lower body, and 3 more on outer shoulder. Remainder of body is treated like a melon with pairs of vertical lines incised through the glaze at frequent intervals. Traces of reddish-purple in several groups of 3 segments. |
