Description

Used in worship of Vishnu (Vaishnava worship). Brass, characteristic form, with handle of addorsed standing figures of Garuda, Vishnu's assistant, and Hanuman, Rama's chief assistant. A conical stepped headdress covers both heads. The bell is rung by the priest when waving the ceremonial lamp.
