Description

Plain. Red ware; tapering body, bulging neck with everted lip; two vertical loop handles on body

Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, flaring neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a flat base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1628."
