Description

Pithos. Conical pithos with large mouth, four horizontal coil handles, and two plastic rings applied at lower part of body. Bands on mouth (covering lip from inside to outside) and at bottom of body; "discs and loops" on body. Coarse, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with slightly darker slip and decoration in very dusky red (2.5YR 2.5/2) to black (N25/ ) paint. Restored from fragments. Some sherds missing. Surface eroded.
