Description | Carved of soft, light wood. Stylized human figure in full relief with stylized bird up front in full relief except where joined to figure at neck, base, and below the middle. Trunk of figure is not shaped - would be a continuation of paddle, limbs are very stylized. Facial features on both figures, and body markings (feathers?) are accented with red paint. Once covered with white (lime) over rest of surface but most is off now. |
