Description | One of two drums. Peng-ku. Used in theaters to mark time. Double headed with colorful paintings on each side. On one side is a picture of a bird and some Chinese writing; the other side has a picture of a dragon. Heads attached to frame by large metal tacks. Frame is of wood, painted brown. A metal ring is attached to each side with a red string attached to one of them. |
