CBS Register: 8 broken clay horses. Traces of saddles and riders.

PBS XVI: Chariot. Wheels and horses, a conventional pole and yoke are added. The Sumerian pole was a curved piece of wood, reinforced by rings, rising from below the ox, over the back of the animals, and connected by a pin to the yoke resting on their necks. A rein ring with a mascot figure was fixed on the high curve, and a bull’s or lion’s head in metal decoration the end of the pole. The seat inside of the box sometimes resembles a saddle and is covered with a leopard skin on a relief from Ur. Chariot: B2451; Wheel: B2546; Wheel: B15489; Horse: B15482; Horse: B15536
