Materials Mountain Sheep Horn
Description

Carved spoon made from one piece of mountain sheep horn. The bowl is deeply concave and the handle is also slightly concave up to the end. The exterior or underside is carved along the entirety of the handle and roughly one-fourth of the bowl where the handle and bowl meet. Carvings are of shallow, formline designs that appear to depict faces and claws. Traces of red pigment may be present along the carvings. The end of the handle tapers and then is cut straight across.
