Description | Polished and glazed clay. Glaze is mottled black and red. Figure is seated cross-legged. Hands rest on right leg which, in turn, rests on left leg. Body is smooth and undetailed. Three clay coils around neck represent necklace. Ears protrude from head. Facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) are done in relief. Figure is wearing a thin headdress. Figure is hollow and has large hole in the back of its head (diam. 2.5.cm) |
