Description | Palace blouse (kebabu asi). When visiting the Sultan's palace, noble women of the Bima region traditionally wore a sober blouse of the type worn by commoners and were forbidden to wear jewelry. This example made of predyed synthetic material bought in Bima Town market. Made in 1983, Rasa Sarae. Plain dark brown blouse, of light weight material. Seamed down middle of front, handkerchief-hemmed at bottom, neck, and armholes. Machine sewn. |
