Description | Comments: One lateral hole about one-third of way from left edge, with tie cord. Text written in two columns with last syllable of each line spaced away from the rest of the line and written one above the other. Black powder not rubbed in on all folios. Cover folio ar end. First folio in bad state of repair. A few folios in the text proper are broken off on the right or left edge, destroying a few syllables of text. Written in ink on cover folio at end: "Rev. A. C. Halsey. A Hindoo [?] book of [song(?)]." The manuscript begins with prayers to Kanapati, Canmukan and other deities. |
