Description | Figure of man playing panpipes. Polished wood, shell inlay in headband and eyes. Triangle emerging from head is a comb. In carved bag on back, detachable betel mortar (B) and pestle (C). Carved by Mr. Frank Haikiu for the Solomon Islands museum in 1976. Purchased from S.I. Museum in Dec. 1976. (See 77-8-1) |
