| Description | Sommerville: Antique paste cameo, color white on deep sapphire. A faun's head. A fragment. Antique Pastes, Case TTT. Vermeule: Glass paste. Cameo. (Broken irregularity and unmounted) White on deep Sapphire: Head perhaps that of a faun to left. Style of the head not unlike portraits of Claudius indicates work of the middle Ist. Century A.D. Graeco-Roman. |
