Description | Red plain weave cotton with navy pin stripes. Stylized animals birds and geometric forms embroidered in lavender thread. Two breadths joined by silk thread randas. Long purple silk thread tassel at each corner. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 86 epi, single, Z twist, red and blue cotton. Weft: 28 ppi, single, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced - plain weave. Supplement weft - two faced. 2 panels - 3 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
