Description | Sommerville: Garnet Cabochon. A curious Christian intaglio of the 4th century - a cross for each century. Gold Rings - Intaglios, Case HHH. Vermeule: Sassanian or Late Parthian Intaglio. Garnet. Modern gold ring setting. Priest-like figure standing to left, hands raised in gesture of prayer. Four cross-like stars in field. Graeco-Roman inspiration. |
