Description

Wooden pigment box with lid; square shape; lid is ornamented with geometric carvings; rim on all four sides are slanted; in center of lid there is a raised, round knob; directly above knob in rim there is a hole; a second hole is below on side of box; body of box is also decoratively carved; slanted rim on body of box; bottom of box is plain with a smooth surface; exterior of box is dark brown in color; interior has a red hue from the pigment it once held. Semi lunar shaped.
