Description | Lowest drum of the western column from the South Portal. The decoration of this drum begins with a horizontal band of rekhyt birds kneeling on neb-baskets. These birds face toward the eastern face of the column. Below the birds are a series of horizontal bands, surmounting a stylized serekh. Between the coffers of the serekh are standing males who are labeled with various toponyms. The column base remains in Egypt. |
