Description | Black-figured spouted bowl, minature. Low ring foot, spreading in profile. Gtst. diam. of body at shoulder. Offset rim, flat on top. Spout and uptilted loop handles on shoulder. Glazed except for foot (inside and out) and areas reserved for decoration: shoulder between handles and spout, and top of lip. Splotchy glazed blobs on top of lip. On one side of spout a bird(?) and a rosette, on the other a lion(?), both figures facing spout. On the opposite shoulder, l. to r., a sphinx facing r., a rosette, a pair of confronted lions(?), and a rosette. Intact. |
