Description | White cotton blouse with floral and geometric beadwork designs in aqua, pink, white and gold on front yoke and three vertical front panels, on two vertical back panels, on tops of shoulders, and in band around top of sleeves; beaded edgings and ruffles. Throughout the Sierra regions of Puebla bead embroidery on huipils is traditional. The technique, bordado con chaquira (embroidery with beads), is often referred to as "pependado" (little seeds). |
