Description | Tomb 2B = Herscher Tomb 802B. Red polished III jug with round spout. Soft orange clay with thick black interior. Thick crackled lustrous bright to dark red slip. Round-pointed base, ovoid body; conical neck, round spout, flaring rim; vertical handle, rectangular in section, from lower neck to upper body, with vertical projection at top. Relief decoration: horizontal impressed bands, two on upper body at lower handle attachment, three on neck. |
